Fall after fall
Like shedding of skin
How could such decay
Be so bewitching.
Given a second breath
Filling a soul with purpose
The deadened leaves bring back life
To beings drained, becoming hopeless.
Let the rustling of leaves
Serenade you to peace
Let the chilling wind
Move you to dance
Under the browning trees.
The bitter taste of goodbye
For what once was
To welcome an unknown new.
Heeding the wise call
That growth is needed
For good to come through.
These miracles of days
Engrave them into your hearts
They strike with such intensity
The pinnacle of God’s art.
